"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
-Viktor Frankl
Changing ourselves - it's what we all struggle with. We may not be the source of our frustrations, but we’re the only person we can change. Or maybe we are the source of our frustrations. Then, also, we’re the only person we can change. It's a simple idea, but changing ourselves is the hardest work in the world.
I know so many colleagues who, like me, continuously strive to be the best lawyers, leaders, bosses, partners, parents, siblings and community members we can be. Meanwhile, even in the midst of all of our personal circles and professional networks, we can often feel alone and overwhelmed rather than supported. The sheer volume of responsibilities and obligations we manage can leave us feeling over-stretched and disconnected.
And yet, all we can change is ourselves.
I adore my immigration law clients, and only want them to be able to thrive in a safe home and haven. I have the lawyering chops to help them and I love doing it - and I have a practice to run, which requires a different skillset plus the time to reflect, creatively problem-solve, develop relationships with my team, and lead. I also have three kids, a loving spouse, community leadership commitments, and a beautiful network of friends and family whom I love and want to remain connected with. Learning how to balance all of these gifts without burning out has been a real challenge.
Over the past 15 years, I have gained immense benefits from coaching in my business and personal life. Working with and benefitting from so many wonderful coaches inspired me to seek my own certification from the Neuro Leadership Institute in 2023.
As a coach, I offer lawyers, leaders, and strivers of all professions a potent blend of science-backed coaching techniques and consulting to accelerate your success. For those of you in recovery, I offer the unparalleled value of one addict helping another in the context of your professional growth and development. I will challenge you to think creatively about your goals, business, and life, and weave together your own blend of professional, personal, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

"It was a big challenge for me to change the trajectory of my company. The structured coaching process helped me to break down my big goal and get there one step at a time. For people like me, the lightness and ease Jennifer brings to the coaching conversation helps stimulate the thinking process. Jennifer is a great resource for goal-oriented professionals who value a coach with great intuition who knows when to challenge them, is goal-oriented and helps them see the bigger picture."
